Dr. T. Lynn Smith is a distinguished leader, educator, and ordained minister, widely recognized for her contributions in faith, leadership, and strategic development. As a versatile leader, she currently serves on the National Board of Trustees for the Church of God in Christ (COGIC), and as Program Manager for the COGIC Solutions Development Team, in addition to playing an active role on the Codification Committee for the General Assembly. On the local level, Dr. Smith is the Chairperson of the Trustee Board at Hinsley Temple COGIC and the Jurisdictional Secretary for North Central Georgia.

Ordained as an Elder in 1994 by the late Bishop William Haven Bonner, Dr. Smith’s leadership within COGIC spans multiple roles, including Southeast Regional President of the Department of Music, Secretary of the National Board of Trustees, and Logistics Liaison for the General Council of Pastors and Elders. She also contributes to her community as a Registered Chaplain for the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office in Atlanta, GA.

As an accomplished author and musician, Dr. Smith has penned the influential ministry guide A Comprehensive Guide to Music Ministry and released the worship album Just Praise & Worship, which includes the powerful anthem “Glory and Praise.” Her most recent work, Now She Leads: The Call No One Can Deny, is an empowering call to action for women in leadership and a bold declaration to the Church and beyond.

Dr. Smith’s influence continues to grow with upcoming projects: Now He Sees: The Support That Changed Everything and an interactive leadership training series, The Directors Class with Dr. T. Lynn Smith, both set to launch in 2026.
